Glasgow City Council Welcome to St Paul’s (Whiteinch) Primary RC School

Enrolment Procedures

Dates and times of registration/enrolment for the new entrants are published in the local press. Notification is also sent to the local nursery schools and to the Catholic Churches within the area. Pupils are also asked to convey the information to their parents where necessary.  Parents and children are enrolled by the Head Teacher/Depute Head Teacher then escorted throughout the school to see all available facilities and the range of work covered. This ensures that parent and child are familiar with the school premises.  Birth and Baptismal certificates, if applicable, should be presented at this interview.

In May/June all parents will be contacted and invited to Workshops in the School.

The new entrants are invited to spend time both at a workshop with their parentand either a morning or afternoon in their classroom.  Parents who contact the school to enrol pupils at other stages will be issued with appropriate forms and information.

New parents are advised that in inclement weather, e.g. rain/ snow, all pupils arefree to enter the school and proceed to the assembly hall after 8.45 a.m. At morning and lunchtime, if the weather is inclement, all pupils remain indoors under supervision. An adult presence is provided in the playgrounds at break times in terms of the School (Safety and Supervision of Pupils) (Scotland) Regulations 1990.
